Graduate Schools:
I’ve been looking into going to graduate school abroad the last week. It’s a bit cheaper and faster than in the States, and it would also give us more time to explore/travel. I thought I would share my current ideas with you:
Location Tuition / Length / Avg. Housing Cost
Sydney, Australia (Pros: No Winter, Diverse, Beautiful, Australia! / Cons: Expensive, Snakes) 19,810 / One Year / $1200+ a month
Glasgow, Scotland (Pros: UK!, Close to Europe, Accents / Cons: Cost, Not the safest) 16,375 / One Year / $800+ a month
Hong Kong, Hong Kong (Pros: Lots to do, Public Transportation, Warm, Food! / Cons: Busy & Polluted) 11,740 / One Year / $900+ a month
Vancouver, Canada (Pros: Closer to home, Transportation, Beautiful, Food! / Cons: It’s only Canada, Longer program) _10,175 / One and One Half Years / $800+ a month _
Singapore, Singapore (Pros: Central location for Asian travel, Cheap(er), FOOD!!!, Diverse, Clean, Transportation / Cons: No weather variety (Humid all year)) 10,010 / One Year / $800+ a month
The biggest factor though will be can Karen get a job there… Just thought I’d share. Also, why is school so expensive in the states? I know it has a reputation, but these programs all look very very similar…
